The secret to having smooth glowing skin

Picture
Wash, moisturize, repeat. Don't forget the most important step!
The one step that must be part of every skin care regimen to maintain smooth, glowing, soft skin.

Exfoliate! Exfoliate! Exfoliate!

Exfoliate everything on a regular basis. Exfoliate your hands, face, lips, arms, legs, knees, elbows, and especially your feet!

Exfoliating is when the dead skin cells are removed from the surface of the skin.

Daily gentle exfoliation is important and will cause your skin to glow,  prevent skin build up and clogged pores.

These are products gentle enough for everyday use:
Flawless Cleanse Hydro-Vibrating Facial Cleanser
I LOVE THIS BRUSH! The Sonic cleansing systems are very popular for a good reason. They are gentle, and often have different brush heads for different types of skin.  However, this Flawless Cleanse Hydro-Vibrating Facial Cleanser is better than the other brushes I've seen. It's siliccone, so it is long lasting, easy to clean, and no bacteria hanging around!

Tip: less is more

Use a non abrasive cleanser when using an exfoliating brush, glove or pad. There is no need to use an abrasive exfoliating cleanser or scrub. Using both together can damage the skin and cause over exfoliation.
Finishing Touch Flawless Cleanse Silicone Face Scrubber Cleanser
Exfoliating washes or creams
Gentle yet effective. These usually include gycolic acid or
salicylic acid, which penetrate deeper into the skin,
and help unclog pores.

We love this Vegan Facial Scrub from ACURE.
In addition to clea
nsing and exfoliating, it also
brightens the skins complexion.

TIp: do not over exfoliate

Adjust the amount of times you exfoliate based on your situation. For example, if you use a scrub glove every time you shower, but consistently have ingrown hairs, you may want to exfoliate the area with sugar scrub 2 or 3 times a week.
Exfoliating pads
Exfoliating pads have a gentle exfoliating surface and also usually include glycolic acid or salicylic acid.
If you're looking for more benefits than the usual exfoliating pads offer,  Newport's exfoliating pore minimize cleansing pads, made to target adult acne, are professional dermatologist strength, without the prescription . They also diminish hyper pigmentation and acne scars.

The secrets of skin care experts are revealed!

Dr. Jaliman, author of the book "Skin Rules" ,
says that is doesn't matter which method of
exfoliation you are using.

The important thing is that you are exfoliating.

Tip: be gentle

Rubbing the skin too hard will damage the skin and can cause scarring.

Foot Scrubs

Healthy skin will naturally renew itself.  Your body will often need help removing the dead outer skin layer that it is shedding. If not removed, skin imperfections can occur.

Not exfoliating can result in:  dry flaky dull looking skin, bumpy skin, dark pigmentation, ingrown hairs, hard rough dry skin, and more.  These types of skin imperfections often require more attention than a gentle exfoliate.
Like a baby chick needs a beak to help remove it's shell. Dead skin thats hard as a shell will also need more serious exfoliation.
Using an exfoliate like a scrub mit, an exfoliating brush, loofah, a microderm system,  or exfoliating system can really help with more intense, yet safe exfoliation.
Sugar and salt can make your skin delicious. Deliciously smooth.  Scrubs made with sugar, salt, coffee, turmeric, and baking soda are gentle enough to use all over the body, yet abrasive enough to remove those dead skin cells.
L'Oreal Pure Sugar Scrub Nourish & Soften
has rave review for its smooth creamy formulation, and it doubles as a lip scrub!
DIY scrub recipes are also simple to make and easy on the pocket book.
